New Delhi, February 16

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has welcomed the decision of the Meghalaya High Court, staying the dislocation of the Sikhs of Shillong without following the due process.

The Committee said the decision would go a long way in securing justice for the community.  Harmeet Singh Kalka, DSGMC acting president, and general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa said members of the Sikh community were being targeted unduly by the government and the local administration. They said the order of the Meghalaya High Court was a victory for the Sikh community. — TNS
