DPCC moves rights panel on Aligarh case

New Delhi: The Legal and Human Rights Department of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), on Monday filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the issue of the murder of a two-year-old girl in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi: The Legal and Human Rights Department of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), on Monday filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the issue of the murder of a two-year-old girl in  Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Chairman of the Legal and Human Rights Department of the DPCC, Sunil Kumar, in his petition, mentioned that in the Aligarh incident, the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in the matter of Bachpan Bachao Andolan versus Union of India were not followed. He also cited that as per the data of the Delhi Police and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, as many as 20 children on an average go missing in Delhi every day. TNS
