Domestic help alleges Army Major of rape, killing husband

A domestic help alleged molestation and assault by an Army Major, and that he had killed her husband. An FIR has been lodged, however, the accused, Major Gaurav, has not been arrested yet.

The incident happened in July, however, the FIR was lodged in September after the intervention of the court. The woman has alleged in her complaint filed that because she is poor her complaint was not heard by the police.

Since beginning police is trying to hush up the matter, she said. The woman has also alleged that she had sent messages to the Southwest district DCP, Devender Arya, in this regard, but didn’t receive any reply from the officer.

The victim is originally from Sambhal (UP). According to the victim, her husband was working with the Major for the past three months. She was staying with her husband in the servant quarters and doing house hold job.

On July 12 around 10 pm, the Major sent her husband to sell his fridge to a junk dealer nearby. After which, the Major asked her to come to his room. When the woman refused, he slapped her and took her to his room, she alleged. When her husband saw the Major harassing his wife, he raised his voice on which the Major beat him up. He threatened of killing both of them if she raised her voice, the woman alleged.

During this incident she got unconscious and her husband was chased out form the Major's house. After sometime, when she came back to her conscious she found herself in naked condition and the Major was sitting beside her, the woman alleged.

After sometime, the Major again molested her. Later, the Major told the woman that her husband has committed suicide. She said she knew her husband who would never commit suicide.

She alleged that the Major first beaten her husband and then killed him.

After the whole episode, the woman approached the police but she was not heard, she alleged. And then the woman had to approach the DCP. The woman in her complaint has requested the police to take stringent action against the Major.
