New Delhi, April 14

Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal continued her hunger strike for the second day today demanding the government to take concrete actions to curb sexual crimes against women.

The hunger strike comes in wake of the recent incidents of rape at Kathua (J&K) and Unnao (UP).

She had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday regarding the same.

In his first comments, Modi had yesterday called the gruesome incidents as a "shame" for the country and asserted that the guilty will not be spared and daughters will get justice. — PTI
