Cong to launch Jan Adhikar Abhiyan

NEW DELHI:Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken has decided to launch a “Jan Adhikar Abhiyan” from August 4 to 11 in which the state party leaders would be given training to strengthen the party at the grass-root level and to serve the poor by making them aware of their rights and privileges.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken has decided to launch a “Jan Adhikar Abhiyan” from August 4 to 11 in which the state party leaders would be given training to strengthen the party at the grass-root level and to serve the poor by making them aware of their rights and privileges.

The DPCC president said the leaders at block levels would be nominated for training in which the Congress leaders, between the ages of 35 and 55 years, and Youth Congress leaders between the ages of 21 and 35 years, would be eligible. All the leaders should submit their bio-data to the DPCC office by July 27.

Maken said in the first phase of the training, which would be held from August 4 to 11, the party leaders would be educated in the policies and programmes of the party in detail. Along with that, the leaders will be made aware of the rights and privileges of the poor and also the welfare schemes of the government for the poor will be explained to them.
