Capt Amarinder woos people with Punjab success

Pitching hard for Congress’s revival in the national capital, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh here today slammed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the BJP- Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) combine asking people not to fall into their “trap” and vote his party instead to power in the Rajouri Garden Assembly bypolls and the ensuing municipal elections next month.

Singh warned people against voting for the two parties, saying the Punjab results should serve as an “eye-opener and people would show them (AAP and BJP-SAD) the door”.

The two times Punjab Chief Minister was addressing a rally at Subhash Nagar Mod in run up to the Rajouri Garden Assembly by-elections on April 9 when his Congress’ candidate Meenakshi Chandela will be taking on Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee’s general secretary Sirsa of BJP-SAD and AAP’s Harjeet Singh.

Capt Amarinder alleged that over the past 10 years SAD-BJP alliance has looted Punjab and Sirsa is party to it while the CAG has indicted the Kejriwal government for “splurging” money worth Rs 29 crore in ads outside Delhi which was “beyond” its responsibility.

“Defeat both of them and shower your love for Congress voting it to power in Delhi,” said Singh.
