Body of youth found hanging from tree

New Delhi, February 21

In a shocking incident at Idgah Maidan, a 17-year-old youth was stabbed to death, said police official. His body was found hanging from a tree in the area.

Police was informed when locals this morning saw the body hanging to a tree, after which North Delhi Sadar Bazar police has taken the custody of the body and sent it further for postmortem, the official said.

The victim was identified as Shoaib, a resident of Kasavpura. His neck was slit and then was reputedly stabbed and afterwards his body was hanged to a tree, police said.

The reason of death is yet not confirmed by the police.

According to the family, last night he told his parents that he was going out with his friends. And till late night, he didn’t return. His family looked for him all over but no trace of him was found and his mobile was also switched off.

The family alleged that few days ago some boys had come to their house and threatened Shoaib to kill. They think it must be these boys who killed Shoaib.
