BJP to woo Dalits with ‘khichdi’

The Delhi BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha is organising Bhim Mahasangram on January 6 in Ramlila Maidan to take pledge from scheduled castes (SCs) to vote for the BJP in Lok Sabha polls 2019.

The preparation is on full swing with a number of workers are on duty throughout the day deciding venue for general people, media security, etc., a spokesperson for the party said.

All the people present will be served 'khichdi' for which rice and lentils have been collected from three lakh houses of the SCs. While eating 'khichdi', they will take a pledge that they would vote for the BJP to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister again in 2019, he said.

A world record will be created by cooking of 5,000 kg of 'Samrasta Khichdi' in one utensil, he added.

SC morcha president Mohan Lal Gihara said the Dalit community, divided in several castes, would be able to show their solidarity in Ramlila Maidan through the Bhim Mahasangam.
