Anand Marriage Act implemented in Dadra

Anand Marriage Act 2012 has been implemented in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli also after having been implemented in a number of other states.

Disclosing this in a statement released here, the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) general secretary and spokesman of the Shiromani Akali Dal Manjinder Singh Sirsa disclosed that responding to his request, Soumya, Resident Deputy Collector of Silvass, has informed him that the Act has now been implemented in the UT area.

He said that with its implementation, Sikhs residing in Dadar and Nagar Haveli can now get their marriages registered under the Act.—TNS
