Collect, submit forms from today

Chandigarh, November 2

The nursery admissions have begun in the city and parents can collect admission forms from tomorrow. 

While the deadline to upload information on the website was Monday, some schools are yet to do the needful. The issue and receipt of admission forms will continue till December 16. The schools will begin uploading a list of eligible candidates on the website and notice board by December 31. In case of the  economically weaker section/disadvantaged groups (DG), it will continue till January 31. — TNS

Parents' advisory 

• For the purposes of admission to elementary education, the age of a child shall be determined on basis of the birth certificate.
• No child shall be denied admission to a school for lack of age proof
• There can be no method of selection for admission of a child
• The annual income of the weaker section should not exceed Rs 1.5 lakh per annum
• Attested copy of family income certificate issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) is required for EWS applicants
• Aadhaar card is not compulsory for admission
• RTE seats= 25% EWS/DG seats
