Yuvraj sprints to 100m gold

CHANDIGARH:Yuvraj claimed the 100m gold in the boys' U-14 category (north district) on the concluding day of the North District and South District Athletics Championship at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here today.

Yuvraj claimed the 100m gold in the boys' U-14 category (north district) on the concluding day of the North District and South District Athletics Championship at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here today. 

Bharat Antil claimed the second position, while Ashmit finished at third position. In the 600m event, Daksh, Ashutosh and Prianshu Dhanda claimed the first three positions, respectively. Vansh claimed the shot put gold, while Alok claimed second position and Manjot finished at third position. In long jump, Anuj secured the top berth followed by Gautam at second position and Vansh Dutt at third. 

Ayman, Arun and Vineet claimed the first three positions in the long jump of the same age group. In the girls' U-14 (north district) category, Shireen Ahluwalia claimed the 100m gold. Smriti finished second and Mudita claimed the third position. Anshika claimed the 600m gold, while Mamta finished second. Manpreet Kaur finished third. Shot putter Vanya claimed the gold medal, while Saloni finished second. 

Manisha finished at third position. Khushboo won the long jump gold, while Sia and Kritika claimed the second and third positions, respectively. Shikha won the high jump event, followed by Priya at second position and Vanshika at third. 

Jualena Panu won the 100m gold in the girls' U-16 (north district) event. 

Khushi claimed the second spot, while Kashish finished third. Damini Jakhwal won the 200m gold and Amishi Walia finished second. Nandani claimed the third position. Kashish, Amrit and Rasleen claimed the first three positions in the 400m event, respectively. Vanshikha Jha won the shot put event, while Archita Rao and Pooja Sharma claimed the second and third positions, respectively. 

Tanya won the high jump gold, while Riya won the silver. Mantasha won the bronze medal. In the long jump event, Navneet, Kanishka and Manjot claimed the first three positions, respectively.

Vansh Kapoor won the 100m boys' U-16 gold, while Sridam Anand won the silver medal. Mayank won the bronze medal. In the 400m event, Aman, Aashish and Suryansh won the top three positions, respectively. Rachit won the shot put gold, while Hitansh and Aksh claimed the second and third positions, respectively. 

Harsh Rawat was the top performer in the javelin throw event, while Nishant finished second and Chetan claimed the third position. In the long jump event, Prnava, Dimple and Ayush won the top three positions, respectively. Awastik won the 1000m gold, followed by Shubham Dubey at second position and Harshveer at third.
