Yuvraj, Rishabh have it easy on Day 1

Top seed Yuvraj Singh blanked Aryan Jolly 9-0 in the second round of the boys' U-14 qualifiers at the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament here on Saturday.

Second seed Aditya Chauhan registered a 9-1 win over Anirudh Sangra, while third seed Lakshay Gupta beat Yash Vardhan with a similar margin at the CLTA Complex, Sector 10, here.   

CLTA trainee Keshav Dangi upset eighth seed Arnav Malik 9-6. Fourth seed Harjot Singh of CLTA handed a 9-0 drubbing to Janish Tamak, while Pranay Sharma defeated Arnav Bishnoi 9-2. 

Seventh seed Jivaj Chawla had an easy outing against Pratham Krishan, winning his second round qualifier 9-0. 

Other players who moved into final qualifying round include Gurbaaz Singh, Rattan Kabir and Jashan Gupta.  

In the boys' U-18 category, top seed Rishabh Sharda of CLTA moved into final qualifying round after beating Nilendrasi 9-5. 

Sidharth Basaiti and Aditya Balda also moved into final qualifying round.
