Youth summit at CU tomorrow

KHARAR:To commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, which is celebrated as National Youth Day, Chandigarh University will host the seventh edition of the national youth summit, ‘EVOKE-2019’, on January 12.

To commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, which is celebrated as National Youth Day, Chandigarh University will host the seventh edition of the national youth summit, ‘EVOKE-2019’, on January 12. The theme of the event will be ‘Indian Youth: An Unpolished Diamond’. 

The summit will witness the presence of eminent speakers from various spheres, including entertainment, politics, media, bureaucrats and others. 

Eminent panelists include Lalit Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Sirmour; Navjyot Kaur, news anchor; Dr Ashok Tanwar; president, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee; Meenakshi Reddy, blogger and writer; Bollywood director Pankaj Saraswat; ANI Editor Samita Prakash; and Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat.  

“It is an opportunity for the Indian youth to discuss their ideas and concerns with eminent young leaders. The summit has been an annual affair where assorted young leaders are welcomed on a platform to brainstorm with futuristic minds,” said Prof Prabhdeep Singh, Spokesperson, Chandigarh University. The rising demand of Indians globally and measures to lessen the brain drain would also be a part of the panel discussion, he added.
