Youth crushed to death in hit-and-run

PANCHKULA:A 27-year-old youth was crushed to death after his motorcycle was hit from behind by a vehicle on the Saketri-Kishangarh road this morning.

A 27-year-old youth was crushed to death after his motorcycle was hit from behind by a vehicle on the Saketri-Kishangarh road this morning. 

The victim has been identified as Surjit, a native of Bir Malba village in Kurukshetra. He was living with his relative Ashok Kumar in Sector 12, Panchkula. 

Investigating officer from Saketri police chowki Suraj Mal said Surjit had left for Nayagaon in the morning. When he reached near the Saketri-Kishangarh road, his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle from behind. He died on the spot. The driver sped off after the accident. 

He said a case had been registered against an unidentified driver and the body handed over to the youth’s family.
