Youth Congress activists protest attack on Rahul

Patiala, August 10

Activists of the Youth Congress, Patiala unit, held a protest against the Union Government condemning the attack on the cavalcade of Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat, on the Cheeka Road here today. The protesters also burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Youth Congress activists raised slogans against the Centre and the Gujarat government and demanded an apology from the Prime Minister and the Home Minister in the incident. “The Prime Minister and the Home Minister should apologise for their failure to protect Rahul Gandhi, who is a prominent leader of the nation and whose father and grandmother were killed at the hands of terrorists,” Mansimrat Riar, secretary of the Patiala Lok Sabha unit, said.

Several other Congress leaders, along with 

Ricky Mann, Harvir Thind and Manmohan Singh, also participated in the protest.
