Wushu team wins laurels

CHANDIGARH:The local wushu team won four medals (one silver and three bronze) in the 18th Sub-Junior National Championship at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, concluded on Sunday.

The local wushu team won four medals (one silver and three bronze) in the 18th Sub-Junior National Championship at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, concluded on Sunday. 

Himanshi of Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, claimed the silver medal in the U-45 kg category.  She lost her final bout to Delhi’s opponent. Komal of Government Model School, Sector 29, claimed the bronze medal in the U-42 category, while Shiv Kumar Sharma of Government Model School, Ramdarbar, claimed the bronze medal in the U-32 kg weight category.  Angad of Government High School,  Colony No 4, claimed the bronze medal in the U-39 kg category.
