Workshop on digestive system, role of glands held

Chandigarh: The Homoeo Research and Reform Society, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Punjab Irrigation Retired Engineers Association, organised a seminar-cum-workshop on the digestive system and the role of endocrine glands in maintaining health.  

KD Vasudeva, IAS (Retd), former Chief Secretary, Punjab, was the chief guest.  Dr RP Bhardwaj, former Director, Punjab Technical University, presided over the function.  Narinder Sharma, Chief Engineer (Retd), Prof Amar Partap Singh (SLIET Longowal), PS Bhogal, Chief Engineer (Retd), Principal S Chaudhary, were the guests of honour. Dr KL Bhargava, president of the society, in his lecture explained in detail with the help of various charts about the functioning of internal organs i.e. stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, gall bladder and pancreas and their role in digestive system. —TNS
