Woman hangs self to death

CHANDIGARH: A 35-year-old woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her house on Monday.

A 35-year-old woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her house on Monday. The victim has been identified as Kavita.

Sources said she was found hanging in her room. The victim cooked breakfast for her children and then went to the room. She was later found hanging, sources said.

The police were informed about the incident. The victim was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an inquest proceeding into the matter at the Sector 61 police post.
