MOHALI: A 24-year-old woman allegedly attempted to commit suicide on the railway line near Phase XI here this evening.

A 24-year-old woman allegedly attempted to commit suicide on the railway line near Phase XI here this evening.

According to the police, the woman, a resident Faidan village, is reported to have lost her feet and an arm in the suicide attempt. She was taken to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh. ASI Jagdev Singh of the GRP said information in this regard was received around 8 pm. The statement of the woman would be recorded tomorrow. — OC
