Vocalist wins hearts

Chandigarh: Promising vocalist Neha Mishra gave an impressive performance in the Harinaad  series concert, organised by  the Haryana Kala Parishad at the mini-auditorium of Tagore Theatre here today. She presented raga-based  bhajans, songs and ghazals, composed by her mentor and guru Dr Saubhagya Vardhan, a doyen of the Rampur Sadarang tradition. Neha Mishra commenced with a bhajan, “Gaiye Ganpati jagvandan” in Raga Yaman,  which was followed by “Sune ri main” before doling out  ghazals “shehron shehron gaon gaon” in Raga Bilawal, “Bahaut kamzor the sahare”.— OC
