The post-mortem examination of dog-bite victim Ayush was postponed yet again on Wednesday as the parents of the deceased refused to budge from their stand.

The parents maintained that they would not give their consent to perform the autopsy till the time the police register an FIR and take action against those responsible for the death of their son.

Ayush’s parents said if the police failed to take action, they would approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court for seeking the registration of the FIR.

Avinash Sharma, a social activist, who is supporting the victim’s family, said his NGO would hold a candle march on Thursday at the park in Sector 18 here where the boy was killed.

He said leave alone handing over the compensation amount of Rs 3 lakh, neither city Mayor Davesh Moudgil nor MP Kirron Kher met the parents of the victim.

Ayush was bitten to death by dogs when he was playing along with his siblings in a public park at Sector 18 on June 17. His mother Mamta, who works as a maid, was working in a house near the park when the incident occurred.

Since the day of the incident the parents of victim were demanding registration of the FIR in the matter.
