UT starts installing solar blinkers

The Administration has started installing solar blinkers at roundabouts of the city. An officer of the Chandigarh Administration said blinkers were being installed at roundabouts where traffic lights had not been provided so far. “Blinkers will help commuters to know the presence of the roundabout from a distance. It will help in reducing accidents in the night,” he added.

“In the first phase, 16 solar blinkers are being installed in various sectors of the City Beautiful,” he said.
