Unidentified body found

Mohali, January 5

The body of an unidentified middle-aged man was found near the market in Phase 9 here. The police said the body was found on Wednesday. 

“Some passerby contacted 108 (emergency number) to give information about the same. The body was taken to the Civil Hospital in Phase 6, where doctors declared the person dead,” said a police officer.

Sub-Inspector Rajiv Kumar, SHO, Phase VIII police station, said, “The post-mortem is yet to be conducted. The person seems to be between 35 and 40 years in age. No injury marks were found on the body”. — TNS
