Uday overpowers Bhavkaran, enters main draw

Uday Jyoti blanked Bhavkaran Lehar 6-3 6-0 to enter the main draw of the boys’ U-16 category in the ongoing STA- AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Tennis Tournament, at the Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, here on Sunday. Harsh Arora also sailed into the main draw by defeating Dipanshu Chillar 7-5 6-4.  

Gurpuneet Singh struggled hard to return from one set down before defeating Jayesh Mehra. He won the first set  after facing a neck to neck competition 6-7 (6), however register 6-3 6-3 easy win in next two sets. —TNS
