Two thieves have been arrested with four stolen two-wheelers and other items.

A team, led by Inspector Lakhvir Singh, SHO of the IT Park police station, nabbed the two suspects, Sumit, alias Kagga (19), and Raja Babu, alias Shakal (19), both residents of EWS Colony, Dhanas.

The police said the complainant, Parkash Podar, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Mani Majra, had reported that on December 7, he was sleeping when two youths stole two bags from his house, containing a tab, Rs 4,000, Aadhaar cards and clothes. The police said the suspects were held at a naka near the fish market near Shastri Nagar on December 8.

The stolen items were recovered from them. The police also recovered an Activa scooter, which was stolen from Kishangarh village and three motorcycles, of which two were stolen from Mohali and one from Chandigarh. —TNS
