Two peddlers held with 19-kg opium

Two persons were arrested by a team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chandigarh zonal unit, while they were smuggling 19.8-kg opium in a Swift.

NCB sleuths claimed that they had information that the accused were involved in smuggling drugs. Acting on the information, the NCB sleuths nabbed the accused, both residents of Rajasthan, from Panchkula.

They said that the opium was smuggled from Rajasthan and it was meant to be delivered at Pinjore.

A case against the accused has been registered by the NCB and an investigation has been initiated. The car has also been seized.
