Two juveniles arrested for burglary

The local police have apprehended two juveniles in a burglary case. 

In a complaint lodged with the police, Raju (45), a resident of the DBC, Sector 25, stated that he had gone to his village for one week and when he returned on April 21, he found the lock of his jhuggi broken and an almirah ransacked. On checking the almirah, he found Rs 8,000, a pair of silver anklets, a gold ring and some iron and brass articles stolen. 

The police had registered a case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC on Monday. 

A police team, led by sub-inspector Shiv Charan, in-charge of the Sector 24 police post, apprehended two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, and recovered all stolen items from them. 

Both juveniles were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, which sent them to Juvenile Justice Home, Sector 25, Chandigarh. Earlier, a case under Section 411 of the IPC was registered against the 17-year-old juvenile at the Sector 19 police station on July 27 last year.
