Two brothers sustained injuries after their bike rammed into a stationary truck on the Dera Bassi-Barwala stretch on Saturday night.

The victims have been identified as Ramesh Kumar and Ramjatan, both residents of Karnal.

According to the police, the incident took place when the victim was going to Barwala from the Dera Bassi side on their bike bearing a registration number of Punjab.

Ramesh, who was reportedly riding the bike, could not notice a stationary truck on the stretch and rammed the bike into it. Following the incident, Ramjatan is stated to be critical and has been admitted to the PGI.

On the statement of Ramesh, a case has been registered against the driver of the truck, who is yet to be identified, at the Dera Bassi police station.
