Two held with 6-gm heroin

The CIA staff arrested two drug peddlers and recovered six gm of heroin from their possession here on Wednesday.

The accused have been identified as Manoj Kumar, alias Kundu, and Lachhman Sharma, alias Lucky, both residents of Kaithal in Haryana.

Sources said following a secret information, the CIA staff laid a naka near Singhpura intersection, Zirakpur, on Wednesday night. The two accused, who were coming from the Ambala side, were stopped at the naka and six gram of heroin was recovered from their possession.

The accused were arrested and a case under the Narcotic, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS)Act registered against them.

They were produced in a local court today, which sent them to judicial custody.
