The second edition of the two-day international conclave on human rights, community welfare, philanthropy and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is all set to commence from November 11. 

The conclave is hosted by Human Rights Protection Group, a Chandigarh-based NGO, and MFP Federation. A funeral service vehicle will be flagged off on Day 1 of the conclave. The vehicle will primarily serve as a free and respectable hearse van and mobile mortuary and the project is aimed at helping the very poor provide respectable last rites to their loved ones.

Livelihood Services project will be announced on Day 2 of the conclave. The project has an estimated potential of providing Rs 45 crore in salaries in a span of five years to one member each from 500 poor families in its first phase.

Speakers taking part in the conclave include Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi, Musician Rabbi Shergill, MP Kirron Kher, former MP Satya Pal Jain, Human rights activist Prabhloch Singh among others. —TNS
