The police in Samana have booked two unidentified persons for snatching a gold chain from a woman here on Saturday afternoon. 

The police said the complainant, resident of Dardi Colony in Samana, was on her way to home on a two-wheeler when two unidentified persons came on a motorcycle and snatched her gold chain. City Samana SHO Surinder Bhalla said when the woman tried to raise an alarm, the miscreants threatened to kill her with a pistol. He said: “The youths fled the spot. We have not yet arrested anyone in the case. The woman did not suffer any injuries.”

The police have registered a case against the unidentified persons under Sections 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC and various sections of the Arms Act.
