The police have booked two persons for assaulting and outraging the modesty of a minor girl after entering her house in Mauli Jagran.

According to the police, the victim alleged that accused Deepak, Satpal and others, all resident of Chandigarh, assaulted, threatened and tried to outrage her modesty at her house in Mauli Jagran.

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 147 (rioting), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Mauli Jagran police station. — TNS
