At Rukhsat-2019, farewell of PU Department of Hindi, the Mangalmukhi Transgender Welfare Society announced to fund the education of an underprivileged student for the upcoming session. 

The event also featured a dance performance by the university’s first transgender student, Dhananjay Mangalmukhi, and a song by a visually impaired student Anuj.

The annual farewell was organised for the department’s outgoing MA batch and was inaugurated by PU Registrar Prof Karamjeet Singh. “We will give scholarship to an underprivileged student of the department. More students will be helped in the coming years,” said Kajal Mangalmukhi.

While Jasbir was declared Mr Farewell, Ankita was crowned Miss Farewell. Sunil won the title of Mr Personality and Vinita was Miss Personality.
