Tamil Nadu (TN)  teams won a maximum number of gold medals on the penultimate day of the National School Games for Squash at the Sector 43 Sports Complex here on Friday.  

In the boys’ U-17 final, Tamil Nadu defeated Maharashtra 2-1 to claim the title. Chandigarh boys registered an identical win over IBSSO to claim the third position. Tamil Nadu also won the girls’ U-14 title after beating IPSC 2-1 in the final. Maharashtra girls claimed the third spot with a 2-0 win over Assam.

In the girls’ U-17 final, Tamil Nadu drubbed IBSSO 2-0. Chandigarh bagged the third position. They blanked Gujarat in the playoff.

In the girls’ U-19 category, Tamil Nadu defeated Chandigarh 2-0 to clinch the title. Maharashtra finished third after beating IPSC 2-1. —TNS
