Six theft incidents, including two at shops, have been reported in the city.

In one of the complaints, Mathura Parshad, a resident of Dadu Majra Colony, stated that thieves struck at two shops in the colony. While Rs 40,000 in cash and five packets of Bournvita were stolen from shop number 944, Rs 3,000 in cash, ten tins of ghee and shampoo bottles were stolen from shop number 1698. Thieves also made off with Rs 2,500 from a house in the colony. The thefts took place on the night intervening July 8 and 9.

Another theft incident was reported by a woman resident of Mata Raj Kaur Gurdwara in Mani Majra. She stated that someone stole gold ornaments and documents from her quarter on July 9. A case in this connection has been registered at the Mani Majra police station.

In yet another incident, Mahesh Kumar of Sector 56 reported that unknown person stole three mobile phones from his house on July 9. Later, Lucky, a resident of the sector, was arrested in the case.

One Ravi Kant Sharma of Sector 37 reported that miscreants made off with accessories of two cars parked outside his house on the night intervening July 8 and 9. The complainant stated that stereo, speaker, woofer and battery of two cars were stolen.
