Theft at house in Sec 8

A case of theft at a house was reported from Sector 8. According to the police, the complainant in the case, Deepu Berman, who is a domestic help at the house reported that an unknown person committed theft at the ground floor of the house on the intervening night May 20 and 21. The house owners are out of the city following which the loss is yet to be calculated. A case has been registered at the Sector 3 police station and an investigation has been initiated.

Burail resident loses Rs 10K

A Burail resident lost Rs 10,000 to fraudsters who duped him on the pretext of helping him in Sector 30, today. Sources said the victim, Bharat, had arrived at a bank to deposit cash when two persons approached him on the pretext of helping him in depositing the money. The victim fell in their trap and handed over the money to them after which both the accused fled from the spot. An investigation in the matter has been initiated by the police at the Industrial Area police station.
