A theft incident was reported at a house of retired Major General in Sector 11 here.
According to the police, complainant Charanjit Singh alleged that the miscreants took away six silver bowls and six silver plates after breaking open the locks of his house.
Sources said the complainant was out of the city when the theft took place. After returning, he found that the locks of the door were broken and valuables were stolen.
The police were informed about the theft, following which a case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated.
