Mohali: Miscreants smashed the windowpane of a car parked in a cremation ground and allegedly stole Rs 5,000 in cash and valuables here on Tuesday. As persources, Daljit Singh of Delhi had come to Mohali to attend his uncle’s (Amar Singh) funeral. The victim had parked the car in the parking area of cremation ground in Sector 57. Police said when the victim returned to the parking lot, he found the rear windowpane of his car broken and Rs 5,000 in cash and a carry bag containing some gadgets wer missing from the vehicle. A case has been registered. — TNS
