Teachers submit memorandum of demands to DSE

A seven-member delegation of Joint Action Committee of teachers today met Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Director, School Education, in the presence of Saroj Mittal, DDSE, and Rajindr Kaur, DEO, Chandigarh Administration, and submitted their memorandum of demands to the department .

Bhag Singh Kairon, convener of the JAC, claimed that the DSE assured the delegation that a proposal for adjustment of the SSA and guest teachers against sanctioned post would be sent to the HRD Ministry and instructions were given to Deputy Director Administration for early finalisation of seniority list of all cadres.

He agreed that the time period for the deputation should be fixed and that for the uplift of education of primary classes. A separate head will be appointed as per seniority list of the JBT cadre. He instructed the DEO to timely release the salary of counsellors and computer teachers and make a proposal to release the salary for part timers and counsellors in June. The DSE directed the DEO to release immediately the pending salary of March to counsellor and computer teachers.—TNS
