Tarini leads on Day 1

Local contender Tarini Goyal scored two points to claim the top rank, followed by 20 other players with the same score, on the opening day of the Sebiz School All-India Open Chess Championship, here on Friday. 

Prakash Ram, Vikas Sharma, Vohra Abhinandan, Shubham Shukla, Saurabh Choubey, Sandeep Chitkara, Amanpreet Singh, Pardeep Singh Negi, Arnav Kushwaha, Pratyaksh Goel, Jupinderjit Singh, Vipan Negi, Iyer Arvind Mah, Sachin Jain, Ramandeep Singh Gill, Rohit Kumar, Yachna Singh, Swapan Biswas and Vivek Mishra were the other top-20 ranked players with a score of two points. 

A total of 114 players from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra are participating in this championship.
