Tackle declining admission, VC tells Pbi varsity colleges

PATIALA:Due to declining admissions at constituent colleges of Punjabi University, Vice-Chancellor BS Ghuman issued a caveat, asking the colleges to take befitting measures to recover the lost ground.

Due to declining admissions at constituent colleges of Punjabi University, Vice-Chancellor BS Ghuman issued a caveat, asking the colleges to take befitting measures to recover the lost ground. During a meeting with principals of 14 colleges, it was decided to exchange the teaching and non-teaching staff, depending upon the staff strength.

The Director of the constituent colleges, Dr Kirandeep Kaur, was asked to look into affairs of the colleges and take appropriate decisions after discussion over the issues. 

The Vice-Chancellor  directed the principals improve their strategies, especially for coveted courses. The Voce-Chancellor asked Dean (Academic Affairs) GS Batra to discuss the issue with the department concerned and take an appropriate action.
