In the Syndicate meeting of Panjab University, which is slated for December 7, the syndics will review the guidelines pertaining to “merit-cum-means loan subsidy” scheme for all self-financing courses.
The recommendation of faculty of medical science, dated March 30, that the thesis of MD/MS candidates be evaluated by two external examiners for admissions in the 2018-19 session will also be considered at the meeting. The proposal that awaits the Syndicate’s approval is that of staring part-time certificate courses in the Department-cum-Centre of Women Studies and Development. The members will also look into the minutes of a committee for the preparation of a ‘vision document’ and will assign faculties to various fellows.
At the Syndicate meeting, the fate of implementation of policy for the grant of basic pay and DA and GP to the daily wage employees will be sealed too. The Syndicate will also take into consideration the recommendation of the faculty of engineering and technology that the eligibility condition for admission to various PG courses at Dr SSBUICET with minor corrections and passing percentage of students seeking admission in PG courses of Dr SSBUICET.
