Supplier loses buffalo semen worth Rs 4.5 lakh to attackers, six booked

PATIALA: The police booked six persons for taking away buffalo semen worth Rs 4.50 lakh from a supplier here on Sunday. The incident occurred at the Mavi Kalan link road, near Joda Majra village, in Samana block.

The police booked six  persons for taking away buffalo semen worth Rs 4.50 lakh from a supplier here on Sunday. The incident occurred at the Mavi Kalan link road, near Joda Majra village, in Samana block. 

The complainant, Malkeet Singh, told the police that he had gone to supply buffalo semen to some unknown people at their referred place near Dhanetha village.

As per the FIR, the complainant was attacked by two bike-borne miscreants, who were already present at the spot. Later, four unknown persons, who came in a car, also joined them. Following the attack, the complainant, somehow managed to flee from the spot leaving behind his car. The attackers then vandalised his car and took away buffalo semen that was lying in it. 

The police have booked six persons under Sections 382 and 427, IPC. In his complaint Malkeet Singh stated: “A day before I got a call from some unknown person asking to buy buffalo semen from me. The caller identified himself as Ravi from Dhanetha village. He asked me to come outside the village. On reaching the spot, I was attacked.” The (SHO), Samana Sadar, Gurmeet Singh, said, “The complainant has got a licence to sell semen. We will arrest the suspects soon.”
