The Sunday flight operations resumed at the Chandigarh international airport today. The airport witnessed the arrival and departure of six flights. The authorities said another flight from the city to Pune would be added to the schedule for Sundays from July 8. Jet Airways will start its Pune-Chandigarh-Pune flight from here on Sundays. The flight will arrive here at 2.10 pm and depart at 2.40 pm.

Due to the repair of the runway at the airport, the flight operations had been suspended on Sundays for the past nearly three months.

According to the authorities, the flight operation time at the airport on Sundays will be of around five hours, beginning 1 pm.

On Sunday, some flights departed ahead of their schedule. The airlines that started their operations on Sunday were Indigo (Hyderabad-Chandigarh-Hyderabad and Bengaluru-Chandigarh-Bengaluru) and Jet Airways (Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi and Mumbai-Chandigarh-Mumbai). —TNS
