Students, parents flock to Tribune Edu Expo

CHANDIGARH: The first day of Tribune Edu Expo Chandigarh 2018, a two-day mega event, witnessed a huge turnout of students and parents at Hotel Taj, Sector 17, on Saturday.

The first day of Tribune Edu Expo Chandigarh 2018, a two-day mega event, witnessed a huge turnout of students and parents at Hotel Taj, Sector 17, on Saturday.

As representatives of various colleges and universities participate in the edu expo, it provides a platform for students to clear their doubts and enquire about the prospects of pursuing different courses and going abroad for further education.

The students and parents, not only from the tricity, but also from the surrounding areas, participated in the expo. Many students and parents were seen taking exclusive counselling session from renowned career counsellor Usha Albuquerque. The students also enquired from the representatives of different institutions of their choices and got information about courses and scholarships.

Miljot Singh Ubhi, a Class XII student of Ryan International School, Sector 49, Chandigarh, said he got useful information from the expo and got his doubts cleared about whether to continue study in the country or go abroad.

Harmanjit Singh, a Class XII pass out, said he had got some queries an pursuing education abroad and the counsellors educated him about the same. Abhiroop Singh of Class IX, who had come to the expo with his parents, found expo useful.

Meanwhile, the first 50 visitors, who got registered at the education expo, were also given T-shirts by the organisers. The education expo will continue on Sunday.
