Chandigarh, February 15

There seem to be no respite from the cold weather conditions. Two days after the rain that lashed the city, strong winds and cloud cover again brought the temperature down.

While the Met Department maintained that the clouds will not bring rain, the present situation has risen due to western disturbances. The temperature at the plains has dipped due to snowfall at higher reaches. The situation will improve in the coming days, said Surinder Paul, Chandigarh Director Meteorological Centre.

While the highest temperature was recorded today at 21 degree Celsius, the minimum temperature hovered around 9.2 degree Celsius.

The Met official said there would be mainly clear sky tomorrow. However, clouds may appear during the afternoon and evening hours, the official added.
