Stream-wise merit list out for Class XI

CHANDIGARH: The Education Department has released stream-wise merit list of students on its website for admissions to Class XI.

Chandigarh, June 27

The Education Department has released stream-wise merit list of students on its website for admissions to Class XI. The website has lists of students with highest to lowest CGPA for each stream, according to their choice of stream.

For science streams, as many 810 students in the list had a CGPA 10. For commerce, the number is 168 and humanities 75. As many as 18,425 prospectuses were sold for Class XI admissions to city's government schools. A total of 17,604 were returned to the Education Department. There are a total of 12,500 seats in schools this year. The merit has been prepared on the basis of Class X result and candidates filled 15 schools of their choice. The fee will have to be deposited on July 3.—TNS
