Strawberry girls, St Kabir boys in final

Strawberry Fields World School, Sector 26, registered a 17-8 win over Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, and eased into the girls’ U-12 final in the St Kabir Inter-School Basketball Championship here on Saturday.

Heeya alone gathered 12 points for Strawberry Fields. Manyate (seven points) was the top scorer for Sacred Heart. 

In the final, Strawberry Fields will face St Kabir Public School, Sector 26. The hosts overpowered St Anne’s School, Sector 32, 23-13. Saanvi scored nine points for St Kabir.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-13 category, hosts St Kabir defeated Vivek High School, Mohali, 38-13. Kaila fashioned the team’s win with a contribution of 22 points. Hartaj scored four points for Vivek High School. 

In the other semifinal, Learning Paths School, Mohali, went down to Vivek High School, Sector 38, 14-26. Harnoor scored 10 points for Vivek High, while Ishraj (eight points) was the top scorer for Learning Paths.
