Stepfather booked for stabbing 7-yr-old boy

ZIRAKPUR: Four days after a seven-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed with knife at Dhakoli, the police here on Thursday booked his stepfather Guddu and Satbir, a construction worker, for attempt to murder.

Four days after a seven-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed with knife at Dhakoli, the police here on Thursday booked his stepfather Guddu and Satbir, a construction worker, for attempt to murder.

In his statement before the investigating officer, the victim, Shahrukh, alleged that he was attacked by Satbir with whom his mother had eloped two weeks ago and stepfather Guddu.

Following his statement, a case under Sections 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the duo at the Dhakoli police station.

The victim was found lying near the slum area on June 11 with blood oozing from his stomach and an injury mark on his eye. The condition of the victim is out of danger, said the police.
