Stabbed by construction worker: Boy to cops

Zirakpur, June 12

The police officially recoded the statement of the seven-year-old child, who was allegedly stabbed in his stomach, at the PGI on Tuesday.

According to the police, the victim told the investigating officer that he was attacked by Satbir, who was a construction worker, and with whom his mother had eloped two weeks ago. On Sunday, victim Shahrukh had told the police that his stepfather had attacked him, but he did not tell the name.

Jagjeet Singh, SHO of the Dhakoli police station, said, “We are yet to identify the accused who actually attacked Shahrukh.”

The police said the probe was on and a case would be registered the basis of the victim’s the statement. Till filing the report, the case was not registered.— OC
